Post-Plague the Baronage, in conjunction with the Seneschal, have decided to review and perhaps revise the annual events the Barony undertakes. That being said, we do have a fall event scheduled for September 29-October 1, 2023, the Feast of Saint Trotter (there will be bacon).
As soon as the Event Committee has decided on the Barony’s annual events, that information will be posted, and listed herein.
Until that time, I’m leaving the old event list up, so you can see what we did in all our glory.
Candlelight Camp – Our 2019 event was May the Fourth Be With You! May 3, 4 and 5, 2019 at Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean Mountain. Candlelight Camp is an annual Baronial event with a focus on Arts and Sciences, rapier and thrown weapons tournaments. There is no Candlelight Camp scheduled for 2020.
Diamond Wars – Annual event focused on melee battles, bardic entertainment and Friday Night Fights! Warriors from surrounding Kingdoms join us for this multi day War. Check back for scheduling for our next Diamond Wars. To accommodate schedules of our neighboring Kingdoms, Diamond Wars will be moving to the Spring and is tentatively scheduled for May 1 – 3. Further information will be published soon.
Barbearian Brawl – Annual Baronial event normally held in January. This year we are Broing to War! Brawl is a smashing affair with Feasting, Arts and Science classes, and fighting tournaments including a Heavy Tournament of Champion qualifier and a Rapier Tournament of Champion qualifier. This year’s 2020 Brawl will focus on pre-Gulf War preparation with classes and hands on help for armor repair, camping and garb. This is beneficial not only for War, but anyone who attends events in the SCA.
